Amouage launches new silk scarves collection in Oman

Amouage, has extended its product portfolio with the launch of a new collection of silk-printed scarves in Oman.

Complementing Amouage’s development of lifestyle products and following the successful launch of the leather goods collections, the beautiful, bespoke scarves have been designed in house by creative director Christopher Chong and crafted by one of the finest silk manufacturers and printers in Como, Italy, the home of the finest quality silk weaving and printing in the world.

David Crickmore, CEO, Amouage, said, “We are truly delighted to launch our new silk scarf collection. We have been working on the collection for over a year and to see it come to fruition is really exciting. We also intend to develop woven scarves and we have very high hopes that this launch will be the beginning of an entirely new category of business for us that we can extend further in the future.”

The first Amouage silk scarf collection consists of exclusively printed, colourful designs inspired by the brand’s identity and are offered in two shapes, a traditional silk square and another shape that can also be worn as a stole.

Printed on a luxurious silk twill fabric, each unique Amouage scarf features a bespoke play on the brand’s logo that encapsulates the exuberance in design, for which the brand has become known internationally.

A special printing process ensures that both sides of the scarf, front and back have almost the same colour definition.

Each scarf is hand cut to ensure that the pattern is completely straight and symmetrical and seamstresses use a silk thread to roll and hand stitch the hem around each scarf.

The scarves are packaged in elegant boxes for keeping the scarves pristine when not used.
